Renee's Helping Hands receives the Direct Service Workforce Grant from FSSA

We are excited to announce Reneeā€™s Helping Hands has been awarded the Direct Workforce Investment Grant in the amount of $153,494.13 from the FSSA to support our direct service workforce. As encourage by the FSSA we want to be transparent with our workforce and provide you an outline of our spend plan.


We plan to use the funding in the following ways:


1.Hourly Wage Increases: As part of our long-term strategy, we will dedicate 58% of the grant amount towards increasing our starting wage. The wage increase will be based on Performance Evaluations and Seniority of staff. 


2.Employee Bonuses: For immediate support we will dedicate about 13% of the grant for one-time bonuses to each employee. Employees should expect to see bonuses no later than May 26, 2023.


3.Retirement Plans: For long term support we are offering 401K Retirement plans to our employee benefits effective immediately. Employees can enroll in the Retirement plan in their Paychex Employee Portal.


4.Transportation Assistance: We will be dedicating 24% to gas cards for each employee to assist with transportation cost associated with traveling for work. Employees should expect to receive a gas card no later than June 1, 2023.


To ensure we use the funding as encouraged by the FSSA in a timely matter our goal is to use all funding by July 1, 2023. Please reach out to our Human Resource department at hr@reneeshelpinghandshomecareagency.com with any question regarding how the funds will be spent.
